St. Paddy’s Pot “Luck”

Coffee and Muffins
are now being provided for you in meeting room 1 from
9:45 to 10:15 a.m. on the
first Sunday of each month.
So for those of you who come early to church come on down and relax before church.

Relapse Prevention Group
A support group for those wanting to avoid relapse into addictions or self defeating thoughts and behaviours. You can successfully negotiate the road to recovery. Join a weekly group, Sundays, 4:00–5:30 PM in Room 3. All are welcome. Call Susan at 403-390-7970 for more information or to register.

Step 11 Group Meetings
“Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood God, praying only for knowledge of God's will for us and the power to carry that out”
Join us Sundays for a brand new Step 11 meeting, 4:00–5:00 PM in meeting room 1
This AA Open Mixed meeting is a gathering place of AA’s, people in other 12-Step programs or not in programs to experience Centring Prayer. This 90-minute meeting includes the opening AA material followed by prayers, then a 20 minute silent meditation period, followed by discussion the Step.

Chapel Prayer
If you wish to receive private prayer for a personal concern, or would like to participate in group prayer for our church, city and nation etc., please visit the Chapel located to the left of the Sanctuary after the morning service. A member of Central’s prayer team will be there to meet with you.

Especially for Seniors

  • Senior Adult Ministry has monthly outings or activities.
  • Join our seniors for Bridge every Tuesday or Thursday afternoon from noon to 3:00 p.m. downstairs in Meeting Room 1.
  • Join our seniors for Snooker every Friday from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. downstairs in Meeting Room 1. Enter through the alley door.
Recycling
  • Central collects bottles, cans and juice boxes
  • Monies support the Africa trip Mission Possible 2008
  • You can bring your empties to the church
  • You can also recycle them yourself and bring the money to the office
  • You can volunteer to return the empties that are collected and brought here

If you would like to offer your assistance, particularly in returning the empties to the bottle depot, contact Lorraine Anderson at the church office.

Defibrillator On Site

Thanks to a generous donation from the Downtown Rotary Club, an Automated External Defibrillator has been purchased and CPR & AED Training has been provided to: Liz Graves, Jerrod Bitango, Kathy Seibel, Chris Van Reenen, Pete Sheridan, Rob Rosin, Steve Cromartie. The AED and First Aid Kit are located just inside the gym near the back door. We are in the process of compiling a list of all people within our congregation who have First Aid, CPR, AED Certification or are medical personnel. Please help us out by letting us know if you are qualified—thank you.

Men's Drop-In Basketball
Every Wednesday, 6:00–8:00 p.m.
No cost to join in.
Bring your own basketball equipment and sports drinks. Enter through the “Alley Door”.

Individual CDs of the morning and evening gatherings may be ordered at the Resource Centre and picked up the following week. A suggested donation of $5 for each CD is requested at time of order.

HymnTyme is an inter-denominational, non-profit organization operating in cooperation with churches throughout Calgary. If you can spare twenty minutes after church on Sundays once every six weeks and would like to help at the Church library desk

Friday Morning Folders Needed!
If you can fold paper and chat at the same time, we need you! Bulletins are folded on Fridays by the group we call Friday Folders. If you like to chat with others over a cup of coffee for about an hour once a month, we sure could use your help! Please contact Colleen at the church office.
