Volunteering

In the Heart of the City, a Church with the City in its Heart

Volunteering is at the core of who we are at Central.  We are continually seeking to provide a wide variety of volunteer opportunities that fit a person’s skills, interests and schedule.

Ministry in Action

Ministry in Action (M.I.A.) is ministry of Central that builds volunteer teams to tackle individual projects at Central. Members of the MIA team have hosted events for some of our partner organizations, invested time in seasonal projects and even have a team of labourers and tradespeople who have done major renovations within our historic building.

For more information about MIA or to contact the organizing team please contact the church office.

The Network Course

The Network Course is a regular small group course offering at Central.  The Network course is typically offered over the course of a weekend and is geared to help participants identify their personal areas of strength, giftedness, ability, passion and commitment to serving others within a faith community.  In addition to the small groups discussion, each Network participant meets one-on-one with facilitator to unpack the weekend and to locate a significant place of ministry to serve in.

To hear about new Volunteer Opportunities we encourage you to read through our weekly bulletins for new projects.  In addition you can contact the church office, sign up for a Network course, keep up to date  with our church blog for new volunteer postings or speak directly with any staff person.
