Newt’s – A Place for Healing
Newt’s Books incorporated is a resource for recovery, grief, spiritual growth, life skills, healing and children’s books & music in Calgary.
Housed in Central United Church since 2002, Newt’s is led by Marion & Ron Voth (as well as their amazing volunteer team) to provide challenging and inspiring books and resources to both Central and the wider community.
In addition to serving as our bookstore, Newt’s also travels to many local and regional events – specializing in knowledge about their material and giving excellent service, one-to-one, or in a workshop setting. They are a great addition to any event by supplying and manning a display of relevant material.
Newt’s Resource Catalogue
Newt’s has a large selection of titles on hand – including an extensive catalogue of Addictions Recovery material ranging from 12 Step Workbooks to Recovery Devotionals. Newt’s is also able to special order titles as requested. A portion of the profits made from the sale of books on Sunday’s is donated back to Central United Church to support its various ministries. Our mission is to supply good quality books and resources, so we are very discerning in our selection process and feel proud of what we sell.
