Creative Arts Ministry

In the Heart of the City, a Church with the City in its Heart

Creative Arts Ministry

Members of the Creative Ministry team facilitate, enhance and lead the congregation of Central during the weekly Sunday services and other special worship times.  Our goal is to express in music, drama and visuals the glory and grace of God.

Many volunteers are involved in Sunday worship service and we invite you to get involved in your area of interest. Our choirs participate in our Sunday morning services from September through June and rehearse on Thursday nights.  Various instrumentalists play approximately once a month, either alone or in ensembles and our full orchestra accompanies our Christmas musical in December.  Our morning worship band, Heartsong, leads the congregation with contemporary worship music twice a month, and our evening band, The Cracked Pots, bring a blues/rock/gospel flair to the Sunday night Celebrate Life Recovery service.

Do you have other skills?  Drama, dance, story-telling, creative writing or songwriting?  Can you creatively tell stories through visual design, illustration, video, photography or traditional art mediums or are you interested in the technical components of the service?  There is always room for you to use your gifts and talents.  Please take time to prayerfully consider where God may be calling your to serve.
